Sarah Gledhill is a passionate and dedicated Speech Therapist who enjoys supporting children and their families in developing meaningful, functional communication skills. She is motivated by building relationships with her clients and creating therapy experiences that are engaging, fun, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths and needs.
She graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with a Bachelor of Speech-Language and Hearing Therapy and has continued to pursue ongoing professional development to ensure her practice remains aligned with current, evidence-informed approaches. Her postgraduate training includes Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES), further developing her clinical skills in feeding and swallowing assessment and management. She has also completed the Malamulele Onward Practical Course on Cerebral Palsy, equipping her with knowledge in supporting children with communication needs, as well as an Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) course focused on selecting and implementing tailored communication systems for children with diverse communication needs.
Sarah works as part of The Communication Club, providing therapy across a variety of settings including preschool environments and the practice rooms. Working across natural environments enables her to support children in spaces where they feel comfortable, regulated, and ready to learn.
Her clinical interests include mainstream paediatrics, early intervention, children with additional needs, as well as feeding and swallowing disorders. She is particularly passionate about supporting young children with communication needs and helping each child develop communication skills.
Sarah’s therapeutic approach is functional, relationship-centred, and play-based. She believes that communication is best developed through meaningful, natural interactions, where a child’s interests and strengths guide the therapeutic process. She prioritises creating a safe, engaging environment where children have fun and feel motivated and supported. She also places strong value on collaboration and works closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure therapy is holistic and embedded into everyday life.
Known for her warm, approachable nature and passion for helping others, Sarah is dedicated to supporting each child and their family throughout their journey.
